Clarence the Candymaker rubbed his hands gleefully. Today, he would introduce the world to a whole new kind of Valentine's Day candy. He introduces his new candy for the Valentine's Day season, and he calls it "Mush". Clarence has an evil plan. He created a candy that will make the people who eat the candy his zombie minions who will report to his factory to become laborers. Ultimately, Clarence's goal is to make his consumers become zombie Oompah-Loompahs who are under his control.
When the candy is introduced on February 10th in stores across the world, there is a frenzy for Clarence's "Mush" candies. They buy the candy in large amounts. Once eaten, the candy makes the humans march like zombies to report for work at Clarence's factory. It was quite a scene to watch the humans flooding towards Clarence the Candymaker's creepy candy factory. The Mush has a very small, edible microchip in each blob that causes the humans to be programmed and go into a trance.
Unfortunately for Clarence, there was a glitch in his programming of the chips. The trance only lasted about forty-eight hours. After forty-eight hours, the humans snap out of the trance. Many of them realize that they are in an unusual, creepy place. They experience panic, confusion, anger, and a need to escape. The workers revolt and start breaking the candy machines that make Mush. Clarence reacts by going into hiding in his secret chamber behind a wall. He breaks down when he realizes that his life is in danger. He knows that he is a broken man, and he will lose his business. The humans break down the after he tries to hide, and they drag him out to the street. Once the humans are able to find a police person who is out of a trance, they turn Clarence over to him. In the end, Clarence is charged with the crime of attempting to create human zombie workers. Clarence received a sentence of twelve years in jail, and he was banned from making Mush or using microchips ever again.
1. You’re at the doctor’s office for a regular check up when the doctor suggests you get a flu shot as well. You hate shots, so you come up with the most outlandish excuse as to why you can’t get one. Start your story with “You’re not going to believe this, but … ” and end it with “And that’s why I can’t get a flu shot today.” Be sure to correctly punctuate any dialogue. This response should be at least 10 sentences long. Remember to use a semicolon.
“You’re not going to believe this, but there is no way that I am going to get a flu shot today!" I told my doctor. Dr. Flow stared at me in a weird way. He said, "What in the world are you talking about Ethan? You must have this shot!" I was sweating because I couldn't think of what to say next. There was a really long pause as he stared back at me. Finally, I had a bunch of ideas swimming around in my head. I thought about many excuses, and I hoped that he would buy at least one of them. I thought about; my concussions, a fear of needles, falling off a cliff, my nightmares about the Empire State building and its giant needle, passing out in other offices, and my near-death experience with a swordfish. I began to speak and told him, "I cannot have this shot today because I fell off of a cliff yesterday because I thought I could fly, and I broke my arm." Dr. Flow asked, "Well, where is your cast?" I replied, "Ummm...I don't know, but I also got a concussion falling off the cliff." I decided to change the subject. The doctor started getting the shot ready. I told him that I was seeing things. I said, "There are purple ponies on the walls, and I see a giant swordfish coming at me with its needle nose!" Dr. Flow sat down and looked confused. He asked, "Have you ever had these symptoms before, Ethan?" I replied, "I have nightmares, doctor. I often have dreams about the gigantic needle on the top of the Empire State Building chasing me around!" Dr. Flow decided to call my mom. As he picked up the phone, I said, "And that's why I can't get a flu shot today!"

I wish I had one dog because I don't have one right now. I want a dog because I think it would be a nice to have another companion around. I am unable to have a dog because my brother is allergic. I also want a dog because I think if I was scared to do something and no one was there to protect me, the dog would be right at my side. I hope one day my brother grows out of being allergic to dogs. It would be nice if my brother grows out of being allergic to dogs so that I can get a dog soon and me and my brother can both enjoy a dog.
Mandatory Wiki: Due Friday, January 11, 2013 For this week's Wiki assignment, you will share your New Year's resolutions. This assignment will focus on the writing trait oforganization. You will need to explain your resolution in a paragraph, which includes a topic sentence, at least three supporting sentences, and a conclusion. We will discuss resolutions and the organization of this wiki writing in class.
My 2013 New Year's Resolution is to get better at my bank shot. I will measure my percentage for my bank shot by seeing how many I can make out of ten. I average about 40-50 percent. I am aiming for 70-80 shot percentage. I want to get better at this because it will give me and my team another way to get a basket. I also want to do this because I think that if I am having a bad shooting game I will have a back up shot. I am aiming for this goal to get 70-80% because than I will have a better chance of making the shot. By the end of my season I hope I will complete this goal and be able to make that a priority shot.
